The Agoura Hills Sheriff Station is a substation which serves Agoura Hills County. Male defendants are booked into this facility and will most likely remain there until they go to court, unless the Sheriff’s Department decides to transfer the individual to an Agoura Hills County Jail. If the inmate remains in custody until court, they will proceed to be transported to the Inmate Reception Center. IRC will then decide which county jail to transfer the inmate to. Female defendants are booked into the nearest women’s jail facility and will remain there until their court date. It’s in the inmate’s best interest to be bailed out of a substation before being transferred to a County Jail. Transfers to a County Jail can sometimes take several days to processed. Regardless of where the inmate finds themselves, he or she can’t be bail bonded until they are fully booked in at their respective facility
The western portion of Los Angeles County, served by this Station is a blend of residential, rural, mountain, beach and recreational areas. The cities we serve include Agoura Hills Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu, and Westlake Village. The unincorporated communities include Chatsworth Lake Manor, Malibu Lake, Topanga, and West Hills.
Modern Agoura Hills Bail Bonds Practice
Bond agents have a standing security agreement with local court officials, in which they agree to post an irrevocable “blanket” bond, which will pay the court if any defendant for whom the bond agent is responsible does not appear. The bond agent usually has an arrangement with an insurance company, bank or another credit provider to draw on such security, even during hours when the bank is not operating. This eliminates the need for the bondsman to deposit cash or property with the court every time a new defendant is bailed out.
What hours is the Agoura Hills Sheriff’s Station open?

What are the definitions of the different types of crimes?
A: There are 3 ‘grades of crime’:

If the offense is alcohol or drug related, the suspect will stay at the sheriff’s station until he or she can safely care for himself or herself.
- High Grade Crime: On a felony charge the suspect will be taken to the station and held until his or her court date (Usually within two business days). They may also have the option of bailing out.
- Juvenile Crime: Juveniles who are detained are taken to the Agoura Hills Jail Sheriff’s Station and held pending either a transport to Juvenile hall or release to their parent/guardian.
